DOLGOV GROUP LISTED TOP-55 LARGEST LAND HOLDERS OF RUSSIA
The independent consulting company BEFL has published a rating of the largest owners of agricultural land in Russia as of May 2018 For the first time, the Kaliningrad company Dolgov Group owned by the brothers Alexander Dolgov and Dmitriy Dolgov were included in the sign TOP. At the moment, the company’s total land bank is about 100,000 hectares. It should be noted that it is the country’s western-most region’s only representative which has become one of the largest land owners in Russia. The BEFL rating includes 55 companies operating in all the federal districts of Russia. The top three are Prodimex, Miratorg and Rusagro. At the same time, the total land bank of the rating was 12.6 million hectares of which 26% are under the control of the top five. Dolgov Group agroholding company, the leader of today’s regional agro- industrial sector, was founded in 1996 and started as a supplier of agricultural machinery, spare parts, fertilizers and plant protection agents. Today, the dynamically developing company includes, in addition to the cultivated 100,000 hectares of arable land (over 30% of the Kaliningrad region’s arable land) and cattle-breeding factories, there are feed mills, grain elevators, a rapeseed plant, the Nezhinskaya dairy, the Rominta meat factory, the Gussevmoloko dairy plant, Gurievsk Poultry Factory and a new broiler poultry factory in the Krasnoznamensk municipality.
